Chicken in sweet wine sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 red onion, peeled and cut into 4
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 carrot, peeled and coarsely diced
  • 1 stick green celery, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 kg chicken thighs
  • 1 cup (250ml) red wine
  • 2 tablespoons plum jam
  • 4 coarsely chopped fresh sage leaves
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • salt & pepper

Step 1

Insert the MultiBlade and add the onion, garlic, carrot and celery. Press PULSE for 5 seconds. Scrape down sides and repeat until finely chopped.

Step 2

Replace the MultiBlade with the StirAssist, add the oil and the chicken.

Step 3

Select STEW P5 and press START to begin STEP 1.

Step 4

At the end of STEP 1, add the wine, plum jam, sage, flour, salt and pepper. Press START to begin STEP 2.

Step 5

At the end of the cooking time, season to taste and serve with steamed rice.
